KIPP DFW is a free, open-enrollment, public charter school system located in southern Dallas. Part of the national Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) network of 200 high-performing public charter schools, KIPP DFW’s mission is to equip students from educationally under-resourced communities with the knowledge, skills, and character development needed to succeed in college and careers in order to positively impact our community.
Founded in 2003, KIPP DFW currently operates five schools across three campuses, serving 2,000 students in Pre-K-8th grade. Our goal is to expand to 10 schools with the capacity to serve 5,000 southern Dallas students Pre-K-12th grade. By creating a high-quality, public charter Pre-K-12 continuum in southern Dallas, and proving that academic excellence is possible, we will have the ability to prepare more students for college and careers; as well as raise the quality of schooling for all students in southern Dallas through competition.
